More Screens, in partnership with Mobinet, a leading Mongolian telecommunications operator owned by KDDI Corporation, has successfully upgraded the VOO OTT platform, marking a significant milestone in the company’s growth and presence in North Central Asia. This ambitious project involved the seamless migration of user data, content, and compatibility upgrades for legacy set-top boxes (STBs), ensuring an enhanced experience for Mobinet’s customers. With advanced features like subscription management, multi-device apps, and flexible payment options, the upgraded platform now supports a modern and adaptable OTT ecosystem.
The project’s success was driven by a highly coordinated effort from a multinational team from 5 countries. Despite challenges like time zone differences and cultural barriers, the team demonstrated exceptional collaboration and unity. Key contributors included More Screens, which delivered the core ecosystem, Piko TV for infrastructure, SEI Robotics for Android Operator Tier STBs, and the Mobinet tech team, which played an integral role in integration and support. Together, they ensured a smooth transition and introduced cutting-edge technology to the platform.
This accomplishment underscores More Screens’ commitment to innovation and fostering strong partnerships. By delivering a state-of-the-art OTT platform with advanced functionality and flexibility, the collaboration with Mobinet sets a precedent for future projects. The successful upgrade not only strengthens their relationship but also highlights the transformative power of teamwork and technical excellence in overcoming complex challenges.
