Since 2014, More Screens has been delivering and continuously evolving the official media distribution platform for the Senato della Repubblica Italiana, ensuring secure, reliable streaming of parliamentary proceedings and institutional channels. Built on the Spectar+ platform, the solution enables live streaming of Senate sessions with integrated closed captioning, real-time chaptering, structured segmentation, and advanced metadata management. The system supports both public distribution and secure intranet streaming, ensuring controlled internal access while maintaining transparency for citizens. More Screens implemented a complete end-to-end infrastructure, including headend systems, professional transcoding, secure streaming delivery, centralized archive management, and time-shifted viewing of all sessions. The platform maintains a comprehensive digital archive of parliamentary activities, ensuring long-term preservation and easy retrieval of institutional content. The project is continuously evolving toward a full government OTT ecosystem, including distribution across major Smart TV platforms, large master display screens, and dedicated mobile applications. This transformation positions the Senate’s media infrastructure as a modern, scalable digital communication platform capable of reaching audiences across multiple devices while maintaining the highest standards of reliability and institutional integrity.
