A seamless migration of users, data, and legacy systems, combined with support for advanced commercial models, marks the transformation of Mobinet’s VOO OTT platform into a modern, flexible solution.
We’re pleased to share insights from our CEO about a significant achievement in our partnership with Mobinet, one of Mongolia’s leading telecommunications. Together, we have successfully delivered a new and enhanced VOO OTT platform, addressing complex challenges such as migrating from the old platform while supporting diverse commercial models.
This project involved a full migration of user data, content, and compatibility upgrades for legacy set-top boxes, ensuring a seamless transition for Mobinet’s customers. It also introduced advanced features and infrastructure to support a modern, flexible OTT ecosystem. This article highlights the collaborative efforts of our multinational team and the technical innovations that made this transformation possible.
Mobinet, a leading telecommunications operator in Mongolia owned by Japan’s KDDI Corporation, has partnered with More Screens to enhance its services.
More Screens has successfully upgraded and expanded the VOO OTT platform for Mobinet Mongolia, marking a significant milestone in our growth and strengthening our presence in North Central Asia. This challenging project, awarded in early 2024, stands as a testament to careful planning, effective collaboration, and unwavering teamwork.
Tackling Challenges Together
The migration required detailed coordination, spanning time zones between different countries. A multinational team of Bosnians, Croats, Turks, Mongolians, and Chinese worked together, overcoming cultural and language differences. By the project’s end, the team had become a highly effective unit.
